| MicroMAX
MicroMAX is a standalone
base station, sharing the same system architecture
as our tried-and-tested ASWipLL product
line. The base station is highly modular
in design and is composed of two main components:
the all outdoor Base Station Radios (BSR)
and the indoor Base Station Distribution
Unit (BSDU). Each base station could contain
up to 12 BSRs, depending on the amount of
available spectrum. Each BSR is connected
to the BSDU via a 100BaseT interface operating
over a Cat5 cable which carries both data
and power.
MicroMAX is designed to support low-density,
rural broadband access, enterprise applications,
in both licensed and unlicensed bands as
the base station radiates within recognized
EiRP limits.
One of the key features of the MicroMAX
BSR is that it requires less than 28W power
which makes it ideally suited for line powering
by using DSL lines thus enabling the economic
delivery of broadband wireless services
to communities beyond the reach of DSL.
