Latin America
Airspan growth in Latin America has been tremendous in the last two years. With more than 40 active customers in the region, Airspan currently has presence in every country of the continent and new offices were opened in Mexico and Argentina. Airspan was awarded significant contracts in Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador, Central America and other countries that positioned the company as the de-facto standard of the fixed wireless industry in many of the Latin America markets.

New next-generation networks, some replacing existing legacy technologies, were installed in Latin America utilizing Airspan flagship Internet Protocol (IP) product - the WipLL. Airspan has deployed most of the new wireless systems in Colombia, including with two lucrative and exciting customers: Coldecon S.A. of Bogota and Orbitel of Medellin.

During 2004 Impsat Fiber Networks and Comsat International - two of the region’s important pan-regional data providers - opted for Airspan WipLL product lines as their core technologies to provide next generation IP networks and applications to their customers.
