WipManage
enables local remote management of the WipLL system and every unit
within the system. WipManage can access every unit using a top-down
hierarchy. At the top of the hierarchy are the base stations. From
the base stations the system manager can zoom-in on and manage each
unit on each subscriber site.
WipManage uses SNMP and TFTP to perform the following tasks:
- Installation
- Configuration
- Trap management
- Fault management
- Performance Monitoring
- Software Updates - per element or per many elements simultaneously
(multi device operation)
- Setting RF parameters, IP configuration, security policies,
VLANs and any other feature per element or per many elements simultaneously
(multi device operation)
WipManage runs under Windows NT and Windows 2000.
WipManage supports standard MIB-II well as the private WipLL MIBs.
WipManage is location-independent and can be used to manage any
WipLL unit in the network as long as the WipLL is connected to the
network.
